Description

Chamaeleon I is a relatively unknown object in the southern constellation of Chamaeleon. Dark molecular clouds and embedded bright blue reflection nebulae such as IC 2631, Ced 110 and Ced 111 are obvious signs of active star formation and young stars. They are approximately 650 light-years away, at the boundary of the Local Bubble.

Data acquired remotely using the Telescope Live AUS-2 telescope.
